die exen (D)
Duration: 50 minutes
Life’s not a walk in the park. Difficulties pile up as high as a mountain. And it certainly doesn’t help that the cheerful neighbour is cackling away at 7 o’clock in the morning. What now? Pull the blanket over the head, put up the feet and enjoy the peace and quiet. But...DING DONG!!! “Good morning, do you want to take a walk together?”
Puppet theatre combined with clown acting about how to climb the mountain together, despite all the difficulties of interpersonal relationships. Because fellow hens are not how they SHOULD be, they are who they are. And that’s absolutely fine!

About the group:
‘die exen’ is a group of independent female puppeteers. They live scattered between Potsdam and Passau, where each of them also works on their solo careers. For joint projects, the group meets in different constellations. Hens is played by Dorothee Carls and Annika Pilstl. All performers are graduates of the HfS Ernst Busch in Berlin, where they studied puppetry. In collaboration with various directors, stage designers and musicians, ‘die exen’ develop puppet and object theatre productions for all age groups. The theatre company is always looking for new and surprising ways of performing that make the genre of puppet theatre so fascinating.
