Festival 2026 – A Look Back!

Dear audience members who joined us for this wonderful, intense and inspiring week from 12 to 19 March, and dear future audience members,

One festival is behind us, and the next is already in the making. This year, we are approaching programme planning with an especially strong sense of fresh energy. And we owe that energy to you!

With an increase in attendance of around 5% and an occupancy rate of 72%, welcoming 4,400 visitors during the festival week, we see this as a wonderful confirmation of our work and our programme choices. 

Our heartfelt thanks go to all of you: for being there, for your applause, for the great atmosphere, for inspiring conversations, for your positive feedback and also for your constructive criticism. In our Festival Review, you can relive the festival week through Reinhard Winkler’s atmospheric photographs.

We are already planning the next edition and hope that you will continue to support us and join us again from 11 to 17 March 2027. As tradition dictates, the new programme will be available online from Christmas onwards. Ticket reservations will begin in mid-January 2027.
